Upgrading UC520

I've got a UC520 that is four years old and we are wanting to upgrade to the newest version of code(8.2).  Can I go from 4.x to 8.2 or do I need to upgrade in steps? Is there any documentation on how to do the upgrade(not sure if it was configured via CCA).
