Configuring DFM 3.2.0 to E-mail notification

I'm needing to be able to send e-mail nofigication when one of our network devices isn't able to be access. I have looked at the DFM configuration but I'm a little confused to how to set this up so that we don't get inundated with to many e-mails. I would like to find some examples if that is possible. Thanks.

It is not as complicated as it seems.

You need to create a notification group, that holds the list of devices and the events you want to see.

Here you can select on the backbone devices and filter events like "unresponsive"

Once that is done you create an email notification and link it to that notification group.

Keep in mind you need an open SMTP relay. (no authentication is possible)

Cheers,

Michel
