Hi Sathya,

Try enabling debug cdp on the 4500 side and see if you getting packets from 3560. It may show other info as well which ay help.

Thanks,

Both the switches are in production so i dont want to take risk by enabling debug. Please suggest me some other troubleshooting method to fix the issue and also tell me what could be th ecause for this issue.

Hi,

Can you provide the trunk and physical interface configs for both 3560 and 4500?

also, what is the output of "sh cdp nei"?

Hi Sathyasay

Try running sh cdp interfaces on both switchesand check if they are sending out CDP packets.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

Do you have any access-list blocking multicast addresses?

If not, one thing you can do is to reboot the device during an outage window and see the the result

The last thing I can think of is to try a different revision of the IOS.
