Hello
I need to install the cisco presence client in a terminal services environment.
I am pretty sure you can but I need to locate the installation guide for that and also need to understand the limitations of the client in terminal services mode.
I am thinking that audio and softphone would have issues.
thanks

Hi Bill,
You are correct. Check out the release notes
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/8_5/english/release/notes/cupc85.html#wp274793
-------------------------------------------------
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Support
Cisco Unified Personal Communicator Release 8.5(4) is supported on the following hosted virtual desktop applications:
•VMware View 4.5
•Citrix XenDesktop 4.0
Note In a virtualized desktop environment, full audio and video capabilities are only available on Cisco Unified Personal Communicator when you are using the desk phone for phone calls. If you are using the phone on your computer, only the voicemail features are supported in a virtualized environment.

Hi christos
The customer is using plain old windows terminal server for their thin clients
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks

Hey Bill
Then I would say that this is not a supported scenario.
But in any case I would think that the deskphone control and chat should work fine.
I cannot say the same for the softphone mode though,

Bill,
Any feedback on the CSF functioning on terminal services?, did the chat, presence and phone control have issues?
Appreciate your comments,
Otto
