ASA 5520 strange address assigment issue

Hello,

we have an ASA cluster providing RA VPN for users.

I have an address pool configured like this,

2011-11-16_105327.jpg

The problem is that sometimes the ASA will give address for the users not from the first addressr but from the middle of the pool.

Is this a bug?

Thank you in advance for the help.

Hey,

Have you issued the command show vpn-sessiondb and see if there are no VPN clients connected with the Addresses already given? What version are you running?

You can also use:

show ip local pool

to see which IPs are assigned from your pool.

Out of curiousity, why does it matter to you which IPs get assigned?  If you're concerned with users getting a static IP, you can always use a framed address in the user attributes.
