Post Authorization

Has anyone discovered a simple way of handling post approvals?  We want the request tasks visible to the performers so they can begin the work and have the approval or acknowledgement take place concurrently.  We need to capture the approval within RequestCenter.  We do not want to attach an approval eMail because of the volume of work.  Our support team cannot wait for pre-approvals to complete before they start working the request.  Please advise if you've implemented or have any ideas.  Thanks in advance for your feedback.
