WLC 4400 - Different minor versions same mobility group?

Answered Question
Dec 1st, 2011

Hi all,

i have 2 WLC 4400 integraded in 3750G.

One has 6.0.202 and the other 6.0.188.

They are in different places but now i want to put them in the same mobility group.

Will this difference be a problem?

BR

Anthony

I have this problem too.

Yes it will be an issue. You have to remember that the AP gets it firmware from the WLC image. So if an AP has to mi e from one to the other, it will either upgrade or downgrade each time. Best practice is to keep the firmware the same.

Hi Scott,

thanks for your answer.

That is obviously a problem!

But, is the software for the APs change even from minor release to minor release?

Is this info available in the release notes for each version?
