Port Forwarding Delete Not Working

Andy Williams

Hello Folks,

I have a customer running 2.1.4 (3) firmware that has requested turning off TCP/IP port 3389 that was configured in the firewall port forwarding. I deleted the port on the Port Forwarding page and applied the updated configuration. The deleted port no longer shows up in the list, but the port is still forwarded, as I can still walk right though the firewall on this port. A Shields Up scan confirms that this port is still open and that only the other still-active ports are open.

This is the first UC320 that I've configured with PPPoE login, but this should not result in such security problems. Is there a way to actually close this port that was once opened, or do I need to open a support case for assistance?

Thanks,

Andy Williams

Hi Andy,

This is NOT how the system should behave.  We have reproduced the issue in the lab and have opened a bug.  In the meantime, please contact the Cisco Small Business Support Center:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html

The Suppot Engineer can manually remove the port forward from the system.

Thanks,

Chris
