I was wondering if someone could recommend a top of rack switch for within our data centre

Dual power is a requirement, but bandwidth and throughput will not be huge as such I have been looking atthe WS-C3560X-48T-L and the Nexus 3048.

Obviously there will be price differences, but I was wondering what you guys would recommend.

Its a fairly simple setup.

Thanks.

hi mike,

if the setup is simple and you dont have any other requirements than redundant power supplies i would take the C3560 as these are just much cheaper than the Nexus.

the C3560 even support redundant fans and are scalable through the optional network moduls.

and if you say the throughput will not be that much then the 160Gbps of the C3560 will be enough.
