How identifying cisco model number by mac address

I just need to know how identifying cisco model number by mac address 00:11:5c:8b:xx:xx ?

I guess there is no way to do it. The MAC is NIC card significant. Paltform level can have different typ of NICs installed.

Does Cisco not have database all mac address on all products that they sell to the world?

Hi Erick,

Honestly that is something I'm not aware off. The thing is that Cisco Platforms or sub-parts can be done by different manufacturers. Those have their set of MAC addresses and serial numbers. SO even that would be quite hard to track. But again - may be there is something I'm not aware of.
