Hello,

            I have SG300-24 in L2-Mode uplinked to Sonic FW. The only settings that seemed to work  is

100Mb Full-duplex on both sides. If there is any other setting like auto-auto or 1000Mbits on both sides link goes down.

I also set portfast enable on the cisco port. Is there anything I need to check to make 1000Mbits work?

PS: L3 mode did not work for us.

Thanks,

Sree.

Hi

Your question doesn't indicate which firmware  version you have running on the switch,.

Please avail yourself of the newest firmware 1.1.2.0 firmware.

Release notes with this new  firmware indicate the following, which may be relevant;

Addressed Ethernet interoperability issues with other devices.

- Negotiation command was modified to add an option that allows you to

configure a Gigabit Ethernet interface to operate in either preferred

master or preferred slave mode during negotiation. The option may help

you to resolve interoperability issue that may arise with other device.

The default mode is preferred slave mode.

- The command was modified as follows:

negotiation [capability [capability2... capability5]] [preferred {master | slave}]
