CUCIMOC + shared IP phones (extension mobility)

Hi everybody,

here is my question:

we've to create 60 home workers on an existing CUCM 7.2. They will be supplied with CUCIMOC 7 and only occasionally will go to the office; on those rare occasions they will be provided with an IP phone which is part of a 10 Cisco 7942G pool of shared devices enabled for Extension Mobility.

Once the user has logged into one of these IP phones the requirement is that CUCIMOC and the IP phone must be in a shared line, Phone presence must be detected by CUCIMOC, the IP phone must be controlled by CUCIMOC (if in desktop mode), and so on ... (in other words all the usual services a user gets when he's provided with a CUCIMOC and IP phone in shared line).

The following scenario should be ruled out:

CUCIMOC 7 --> primary phone (3 DLUs)

shared Cisco 7942G --> secondary IP phone (4 DLUs)

because the secondary device can't require a number of DLUs which is higher than the primary.

So the only viable scenario should be the following:

shared Cisco 7942G --> primary phone (4 DLUs)

CUCIMOC 7 --> secondary IP phone   (1 DLUs)

that's to say that the primary IP phone of those users is not a fixed device (a fixed MAC address) but can be any of those ten phones.

Q1: is it correct? does such a scenario work correctly?

Q2: if Q1 is OK, is the following DLUs calculation formula right? Total number DLUs= 10*4 + 60*1= 100 DLUs

thanks,

francesco
