That's interesting.

Can you provide the model and version of your WLCs? Also are you using DNS for discovery or another option?

It's a WLC 4402 with eight SVC-WiSM 's. I'm using DNS for discovery, and it found the correct controller at bootup.

What code rev?

7.0.116.0

Can you post the following output?

1.  WAP:  sh version

2.  WAP:  sh inventory

3.  Controller:  sh sysinfo

It's actually just 1142's doing this now.

LAP using cdp neighbors since its a lightweight:

Are you seeing anything in the controller logs?

Do you have multiple controllers in a mobility group?

David,

Did you ever find a solution to this?  I have three 3502i APs at one locaiton doing the same thing.  Unfortunately I don't have console access to mine but I verified with someone at the locaiton that they were blinking green-red which is typical of the discovery phase.  I'm running 7.0.220.0.  Thanks.

Todd

Hi Todd,

Would be nice if someone could console into the WAP and post the entire bootup process.
