Solved: Voice gateway not registering with CCM

Voice gateway is not registering with CCM. The causes and changes made are unknown.

2821#sh ccm-manager

MGCP Domain Name: x.x

Priority Status Host

============================================================

Primary Down x.x.x.x

First Backup Down x.x.x.x

Second Backup None

2821(config)#mgcp

%MGCP-SHUTTING-DOWN, Cannot restart MGCP until it is finished shutting down

I can also ping the CCM from the source IP address (L0) that was last registered with the CUCM

mgcp bind is also configured:

mgcp bind control source-interface Loopback0

mgcp bind media source-interface Loopback0

Please advise,

run the below command to check if any port is hung up

show mgcp connection

if it is, shut and no shut the port...than perform no mgcp, mgcp.

if no port is hung up, than reload is the only workaround!!

Is the domin defined? Does it match what's on CUCM? Have you tried "no mgcp", "mgcp"?

Domain is configured and matches the one on CCM. I tried no mgcp then mgcp and getting:

2821(config)#mgcp
