Siemens Arcadis Varic - Wireless connectivity problems

M. Wisely

Hi

Our radiology department has recently recieved a couple of Arcadis Varic devices and so we tried to connect to our network wirelessly, but it constantly failed to connect. The error messages in ACS was "11500 Invalid or unexpected EAP payload recieved"

The device has windows on it but doesn't have a wireless nic, instead it has a wireless converter connected to an internal hub. The device is configured within windows by selecting one of 4 options, the top two are WPA-PSK (Medium) and WPA2 (High). We wen't for 'High' and supplied an ssid, username and password assuming it was AES/PEAP/MSCHAPv2.

I've attached a debug that shows the device associating and trying to authenticate then being excluded.

Has anyone seen this error message before?

Thanks

Martin

Let me ask... have you tested with any of the other security methods to see if these devices connect at least?  On this SSID, can you connect successfully with another devices like a laptop to verify that your configuration is correct?  When using "High", What do you see in your radius server logs.  These wireless converters require "Passive Client" to be enabled on the SSID also.
