We have a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iPad 5.0 to sync using wireless.
We have some LWAPP access-points and WLC 5508 running software 7.0.116. Have tried to turn on broadcast, multicast, IGMP and multicast group address 224.0.251 to support Bonjour service.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Regards
Andrea

Are the iPad and the iTunes on the same subnet?

Do you have p2p enabled on the SSID?

Yes. We can reach any other IP services.

P2P is an option on the SSID configuration page under the advanced tab. Is it checked? What option is picked from the drop down menu?

The P2P blocking is disabled so packets are bridged.
Thanks.

You have Multicast enabled on the network side also?

Hello Scott.
On wlc, multicast is enabled.

On the switch you need it enabled also.

Hello Scott and many thanks for your help.
I don't understand well!
PC running iTunes and iPad are on the same wlan. Is the multicast packet bridged locally on controller?
Regards.

I didn't either until I ran inot the same situation and enabling multicast on the network makes things work. That is how I have to setup my clients when using Apple TV and that is how I have my home setup so I can sync my iPhone and iPad to iTunes.

Can I limit this action to the switch were wlc is connected?
