Solved: Storadge pWWN change by itself. Can that be?

Can storage change it's pWWN by itself, while migrating that link to another MDS in another fabric?

We need to replace old MDS with new one, in dual-fabric environment.

It's HP-UX and EMC mostly. Going to use same Domain ID and FCID:pWWN mapping.

Our customer confusing me with some issue which he expirienced some time ago in same situation.

But that was not documented, so he can't confirm it.

Hello

If it hadn't been for one incident a few years back, I'd have said no never.

I had the HBA cards in a few IBM blades change their pWWN after a FW upgrade - IBM swore it could not happen, but it did.
