adding custom table

Hello,

The goal is to add a table where some custom parameters will be stored in order to speed up custom SQL queries.

Is it allowed/recommended to add a custom table to the HDS database?

Is it possible to add a table to the CUIC database? Is it possible to access the CUIC database?

I would not add any tables to the HDS DB, pretty sure it's not supported. As for the CUIC database, I don't think you have access to the actual DB itself. Why don't you just build the table in another DB and create a new datasource in CUIC to pull data from this table?

Since CUIC does not support 2 datasources for a single reports, I would need to create a view. Do you agree?

That's exactly how I have done this in the past. In theory my Custom Views could get removed when I do an upgrade but I will just recreate them.
