I'm not as familiar with CUBE, and I'm finding when it's not acting as the network gateway, I'm having trouble understanding how it will share resources.
From the picture you see, Voice LAN 1 talking to CUBE1 (Cisco 3945) in the DMZ of an ASA. and Voice LAN 2 talking to CUBE 2 (Cisco 3945) in the DMZ of an ASA. What I'd like to have happen is if CUBE 1 is down, Voice LAN 1 will redirect to CUBE 2, and vice versa. I've seen multiple protocols such as HSRP and VRRP, but that's getting out of my area of knowledge. So I'm not sure if that's what I'm looking for. Note: I'm using IP Telephony in the voice LAN, but not Cisco telephony. Also, the LAN switching is Cisco.
Can the CUBEs or ASAs be programmed to act as stand-alone but pass traffic to the other CUBE when it goes offline? What routing method is this?
