Hi All,

I make a call From New York to Paris, once the call is answered in Paris, I transfers the call to someone in Canada, Toronto and hung up the phone in New Yrok. The audio stream is now btw Paris and Toronto. My question is:

WHO IS GOING TO BE CHARGED FOR THE LONG DISTANCE CALL?

Thanks,

MK

Assuming PSTN connection is involved in making outgoing calls, I guess you would be charged as you made two outgoing calls actually.

Or if the scenario is different, please elaborate.

Thanks Kailash,

I know I made two long distance calls but I have disconnected both. My connection to the PSTN is released. Isn't it?

Thanks,

MK

No, because when you transfer with PSTN, a new call is made.

For this reason some administratorsprefer to block offnet to offnet transfers.

Basically there are 3 parties involved in the PSTN(off-net) call, 2 have just answered the incoming call.

Although you are not there in the RTP but PSTN connection is still established.

My 2 cents, someone else can also throw some light.

Regards,

Kailash

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the replies.
