In reading up on WebEx Connect's cabailbilty for integration with Unified CME v8.8 and later in the recent version 7.2 release here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme_webex/configuration/guide/webexconnect_cme.html#wp1062351
My question to the community is: Can WebEx Connect v7.2 integrate with the UC500 platform (UC540 & UC560) which runs CME, allowing for the softphone functionality?
Thanks!

Hi,
I dont think it tested yet.
I believe "Cisco WebEx Phone Connect" will work with UC500 products.

I believe I answered my own question through some further research, so here it is for others:
As the most recent release of WebEx Connect v7.2.1, which is the cloud based service for IM/presence does now support UC integration with CME deployments, the version required is v8.8 (see release notes for WebEx Connect v.7.2.1) and the latest version of CME that runs of UC500's is 8.2(0), so therefore so support is in place.
So in order to take advantage of the new integration of WebEx Connect on CME you would have to be running v8.8 on an ISR platform. UC500 customers seeking this similar WebEx Connect functionality would still have to look to the Smart CallConnecter Advanced Client/Server product exclusively: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6882/ps10585/data_sheet_c78-601274.html
Please anyone from Cisco feel free to confirm...
