Hi everybody im having problems with dial peers in a IP telephony installation.
I have a CUCM 8.5 version and a gateway Cisco3825. Everything is working but now we are integrating with other telephony central in other buildings.
When i call from an IP phone 802024 the debug voice ccapi output show me that the call takes the dial-peer 4404 instead of dial-peer 3003 for routing the call
There are my route patterns in CUCM
And there are my dial-peers in the gateway

Exactly what digits are you sending to the GW and where's that other dial peer you say you're hitting??
There's no 4404 in that config you posted.

Excuse me you have reason is not 4404 the dial peer is 4004.
Whe i call 802024 my CUCM select the first route pattern 80XXXX and send it to the gateway, i think my gateway must select the dial-peer:
dial-peer voice 3003 pots
destination-pattern 80....
port 2/0/8
forward-digits 4
But the gateway is selecting this dial-peer:
dial-peer voice 4004 pots
description ** LLAMADAS INTERNACIONALES **
destination-pattern .T
fax rate disable
port 0/1/0:15
forward-digits all
DO you understand my problem???

Actually im not using these ports becuase is not working, i have two gateways coneccted to my CUCM with the same configuration, the other one works but his one not. I dont know what happen, please help me
The CUCM is using only the first gateway and the route patterns you can see in the first post of this discussion.

Hi,
I think it would be selecting the DP randomly because the preference for both the DP's are 0.
Better type in a command "preference 1" under dial-peer 4004 and give it a try.
Thanks,
VJ

we have tired this but not works for this reason im very scared about the funtionf of the gateway is the first time this happen

A default route could also be defined by using a single wildcard character with the timeout
T-indicator in the destination pattern, as shown in the following example:
dial-peer voice 1000 voip
destination-pattern .T
session-target ipv4:10.10.1.2
You should be careful, however, when using the T-indicator for default routes.
Remember, when matching dial peers for outbound call legs, the router places the
call as soon as it finds the first matching dial peer. The router could match on
this dial peer immediately even if there were another dial peer with a more explicit
match and a more desirable route.

But i have problems whit pots dial-peers i cant configure a session target. I understand that the dial-peer with the first match is used for route the call but in my case i dont want use the dial-peer with .T destinnation-pattern configured, how can i do???
03-16-2012 12:26 PM
Route patterns on CUCM are 9.* - so instead of .T on your outgoing pots dial-peer use 9.T and do not discard leading 9 digits on CUCM. In this case 9.* will macth with 4004 and 8.* will match with 3003.
03-16-2012 12:31 PM
I have tried that but the internationall calls that match with .T for their different lenght string not works
03-16-2012 12:43 PM
Yeah, my mistake - can see that you've done outgoing dial-peers with 9.*
Why you couldn't create dial-peer with destination pattern 900T for your international calls? - It will match different digit length number starting with 900

Luis,
The dial peers and voice port look good to me.
Can you use the Dial Number Analyser on the CUCM
Pick a phone/line and put the 802024 number as the
destination.
Hopefully this will produce a result where we can
see what digits are actually being sent to the gatway.
I think you may dropping digits and hence not matching
DP 3003 which starts 80....
DP 4004 uses .T basically a wild card match

Thanks for your help i dont know waht happen but everything is ok, all of you answer help us but really i dont change nothing but now is working

You can check where calls to go by the command
show dialplan number 123456
or
show dialplan number 123456#
Also you configured forward-digit 4 which could be a problem to you. Look for description about this command
