Weird issue with ASA, can't configure interfaces

Got new ASA5550, code 8.2.2 in flash, can't configure "nameif" or "ip address" on the interfaces:

ciscoasa(config)# int gig0/0

ciscoasa(config-if)# ?

Interface configuration commands:

default      Set a command to its defaults

  description  Interface specific description

dhcp         Configure parameters for DHCP client

  duplex       Configure duplex operation

exit         Exit from interface configuration mode

help         Interactive help for interface subcommands

no           Negate a command or set its defaults

  shutdown     Shutdown the selected interface

  speed        Configure speed operation

These are all the options that I get! Another weird thing I noticed is "<system>" string in "show ver" top line:

ciscoasa# sh ver

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.2(2) <system>

Compiled on Mon 11-Jan-10 14:19 by builders

System image file is "disk0:/asa822-k8.bin"

Config file at boot was "startup-config"

ciscoasa up 27 mins 22 secs

Hardware:   ASA5550, 4096 MB RAM, CPU Pentium 4 3000 MHz

Internal ATA Compact Flash, 256MB

BIOS Flash M50FW080 @ 0xffe00000, 1024KB

Has anyone seen this before?
