Hi all,
I am faced an issue which all my phone get failed to register (unable to see the ip address of the phone in the administrator page) once i upgraded to cucm 8.6.2 from 8.5.1.
But from the phone itself, i able ot do a access into the cucm page.
From the user, i able to use tht IP to access into that,
With the same settings, i tried to downgrade to 8.5.1, all the phone is registered without any issue.
I tried to access the phone by using the ip address, it keep on prompted as below:
6:53:12p 14: Name=SEP00070E162ECD Load= SCCP11.8-5-2S Last=UCM-closed-TCP

Hello Lee,
This seems like a network issue this error can appear if a connection is established and immediately dropped before registration is completed. Incomplete registration can indicate that a device is rehoming in the middle of registration. The alarm can also indicate a device misconfiguration, database error, or an illegal/unknown device trying to attempt a connection. If a connection to Cisco CallManager on TCP port 2000 is terminated before Simple Client Control Protocol (SCCP) registration completes, this event is logged. You can simulate this when you make a Telnet connection using
telnet
Other thing do you a firewall between CUCM and these IP Phones?
All Ip phones have this issue? Or only to a remote site?

Hi Leo,
Ya. I do have a Cisco module firewall in cisco 6500 core switch.
But when I revert back to 8.5. All the devices has registered properly without any issue.
Any different between 8.5.1 and 8.6.2?
Thank you

Have you checked if the services are actually running on 8.6.2. It's very common to see that Servers might not have the proper RAM installed when going to 8.6.2, which will trigger the server to perform bridge uprade and install no Services. Then you will install the RAM, reinstall again and this time all the services are installed, leaving a partition without services.
Please check Services are running on the version giving problems and collect a Packet capture from the CUCM at that time for further investigation.

Hi Robert,
Ya, all the services is running fine.
Even Cisco TAC also webex in, but they still unable to found the solution after capture the packet between CUCM & IP Phone.
With the same hardware, all phone is working fine in CUCM 8.6(2a).
But not in CUCM 8.6(2a) SU1.

Attache the captures you have to the discussion.

Hi all,
As per mentions by Cisco TAC, the problem maybe is because it hit the bug which is "CSCtz30396"
