Inventory fail on 6509E

I'm currently experiencing some problems with LMS 3.1 where inventory collection fails on cat6500 switches running 12.2(33)SXI1, Sup720.

I have changed the SNMP timeout to 30 seconds.

Anyone able to help?

Hi Chris,

First thing, LMS 3.1 sounds too old and i would recommend an upgrade to LMS 3.2 (LMS 3.2.1) which is free.

For RME 4.2 in 6500 there are some known issues as well. Check what is the error it fails with RICS0001 Error, as there is a Bug and a patch to fix CSCsv65621.

How do I get hold of LMS 3.2?

The Best way to get it is to order it from the Product Upgrade tool and enter the contract number covering your LMS 3.1 to order the LMS 3.2 $0 DVD Media.

I see this has been removed from the NMS Evaluation Softwares and replaced by Ciscoworks Prime LMS 4.2, hence you can try this downloader to download the LMS 3.2 directly, though this one is old and may take time to download the software.
