Hi,

Please make sure you have the hardware requirements in place for it, this link would give you all the information required for it:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-12690

Also you can follow this link to upgrade the ASA software:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008067e9f9.shtml

If in Failover:

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Hiii Varun,

currently my ASA ver 7.0(1) so below is my plan to do this upgrade:

7.0(1)       to 7.2(1)         to 8.0(2)     to 8.2(2)         to 8.3(2)          to 8.4(3)

is this will work with me??

on the document that you gave it's like below

Hi,

Yes, the upgarde path given is correct and the recommended one. You can follow it.

Hiii Varun,

it's working perfectly, but why i can't connect via SSH or ASDM? i'm using my laptop and connect directly to interface 0/1 and SSH enable and i'm able to ping this interface. (also from ASA i can ping my laptop) but unable to access it via ASDM or even CLI "SSH"

can i know where else i need to check to access the device via ASDM? note that currently ASA software ver 8.4(3),  ASDM image: 6.4(7)

i still can access my ASA via console

please Advise

Hi Fadi,

Difficult for me to tell, but yes a few pointers that I can give:

Check "show run asdm", it should have the new ASDM image set asdm-647.bin...

Check "show run http", it shud have the correct settings.

For SSH:

Try "show run ssh", right configujration should be there.

Try generating the crypto keys again.

For ASDM, open the browser and type the url https://a.b.c.d    and then check.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Varun

I suggest you can do it thru CLI as well using tftp client... that will be easier.....
