CUCM 8.5 H323 C2951 VG202 unable to fax long distance

I have a site is not able to fax long distance. They can receiver all inbound faxes & fax to only local numbers. Site is H323, C2951, VG202, calls go out CO lines, CUCM 8.5. Any suggestions or help would be a GREAT HELP & I will sing your Viking songs for generations!

Can you post your dial peer configuration on both devices?

Is Vg202 pointing to CUCM or the PSTN GW?

Can you provide debugs?

OK, so the VG202 is defined as SCCP, does the device/DN in CUCM have appropriate CSS to allow LD calls?

Is the call actaully going out but you are going error, i.e. line error, or can you not dial out from this line to LD? Is there a handset on the fax that you can use and tell us what you hear when you dial LD number?

Yes - the device/DN in CUCM have appropriate CSS to allow LD calls. The location can call LD from IP phones & analog phones.

I see the call going out the CO line with "show voice call status". The HP 3035xs MFP dials and you hear ringing but the call just drops after 10 to 20 seconds. You cannot or do not hear a fax tone connecting to the other fax machine. The fax prints "failed to connect".

Just found out there is another fax (same fax) that can fax LD. The site that is failing maybe fax wrong. Site has LD codes... I will et you know unless you have a fix or suggestion.

Fixed, case closed - site was faxing wrong. Site has long distance sode and was not faxing long distance the correct way. Thanks for the help.

HIT SCREEN WHERE IT SAYS FAX RECIPIENTS.

THEN TYPE NO.

AND ON THAT SCREEN THERE IS A PAUSE BUTTON AND AN OK BUTTON AND THE SEND BUTTON IS THE GREEN BUTTON ON THE FAX MACHINE ITSELF.

I PUT 9-1-AREA CODE AND NO. , HIT PAUSE BUTTON 3 TIMES AND THEN MY 5 DIGIT CODE AND OK, THEN SEND.

I HOPE THAT MAY HELP. WHEN YOU HIT PAUSE BUTTON 3 COMMAS WILL SHOW.
