Cisco SCE8000 persistent buffer issue in collection manager

Hi,

We have Collection manager 3.7.1 with 2* SCE8000. While both of the SCE8K boxes are sending RDR to single collction manager, i am observing RDR drops from both the SCEs (one is dropping more than other). While checking the same on collection manager, observed following error:

2012-03-21 16:37:19,400 [rdrconn/10.228.131.82/60008] WARN com.cisco.scmscm.queue.PriorityQueue - Queue 3com.cisco.scmscm.adapters.CSVAdapter is at warning level.

2012-03-21 16:37:19,590 [Thread-16] WARN com.cisco.scmscm.buffer.PersistentBuffer - Persistent Buffer: deleting before read: /opt/CM/cm/cm/adapters/CSVAdapter/9536.rdr

2012-03-21 16:37:19,940 [Thread-16] WARN com.cisco.scmscm.buffer.PersistentBuffer - Persistent Buffer: deleting before read: /opt/CM/cm/cm/adapters/CSVAdapter/9537.rdr

can someone tell what should be the action to resolve this. Current RDR rate is 13K (with lots of RDRs getting dropped)

Regards

HI Punit,

13K is maybe too much RDRs for CM. Try to reduce it by disabling TUR (if enabled) or similar.

About persistan buffer for CSVAdapter it is not a big deal since once you reach 10000 files in that directory it will start again with the first one. Just before overwriting it will log the WARNing so you know that old first file is overwriten.

FOr JDBC adapter it can be a problem, becasue you want to insert data into DB prior to overwriting it. With CSV it will go always like that from 1 to 10000 and then again from 1 to 10000, etc...

I hope this clarifies a little bit.

Thanks,

Minja
