Hi,

No.. These switches does not support BGP.  The latest OS version is 15.x and supports OSPF but no BGP. Check the below link.

Hi,

that is not true. Those switches support BGP if you're using the IP Services feature set in both train 15.0 and 12.2.

You can use the Software Advisor to check the specific features: http://tools.cisco.com/Support/Fusion/FusionHome.do

Marlon, what features are you calling 'Advanced BGP'?

Hi Guys,

thanks for the reply, yeah im quite confused as well, as my colleague also mentioned to me it is not supported.

im planning to use to include in the bundle the "IP Base to IP Services Factory IOS Upgrade"

advanced features like the BGP routing policy, usual AS prepend, MED etc.

Hi Marlon,

Nice to see you here after you left a few months back....

I agree 3750X supports BGP with IP services feature set, Just that ip services feature set is only available as an upgrade option so ensure this is the one that will be purchased as there is no switch model dedicated with IP services.

With regards to some BGP features, route-map command "set as-path {tag | prepend as-path-string}"

is not supported under 12.2(55)SE .

Refer: to: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/12.2_55_se/configuration/guide/swuncli.html#wp1046153

Check if 15.x supports this.
