Incorrect time on Cisco 3905 on CUCME

Dear all,

I am having an issue with Cisco 3905 SIP phone on CUCME. The time displayed on all the phones is incorrect. More secifically the phones display the time as GMT and not the correct time zone.

Here is my voice register global config:

voice register global

mode cme

source-address 10.20.2.5 port 5060

timeouts interdigit 6

max-dn 900

max-pool 80

load 3905 CP3905.9-2-1-0

authenticate realm cisco.com

timezone 26

time-format 24

date-format D/M/Y

tftp-path flash:

file text

create profile sync 0144035442431914

ntp-server 194.71.144.71 mode unicast

Any idea on might be the cause for the incorrect time?

Please note that the 3905 are the only SIP phones on the system. All other phones are SCCP and the time displayed is correct!

My CUCME version is 9.0

Many Thanks,

Constantinos

Try to use olsontimezone with file tzupdater.jar on tftp.

We use the following config (c2951 with IOS 152-2.T1, 3905 with fw CP3905.9-2-2-0), time is correct:

voice register global

olsontimezone Europe/Minsk version 2012c

timezone 31

!

tftp-server flash0:/tzupdater.jar alias tzupdater.jar

Download tzupdater.jar from the oracle site.

Hi,

There is an OPEN bug for this with Cisco

CSCty55380 - 3905 IP Phones always display GMT Time ✓Save To My Bug Watch Description SYMPTOM

-3905 IP Phones registered to CME always show the GMT time instead of the configured timezone.

Conditions

-The phone always show GMT time even when we have a timezone configured globally or under 'voice service global' or even when a NTP clock source is configured.

-Phone's web page shows the correct timezone name but the time displayed is always GMT hours/minutes

Workaround
