We've been trying to recover the admin password on our two MDS 9124 fiber channel switches using this documentation from Cisco: http://goo.gl/xeyZv

Has anyone done this successfully?  When I hit step 10 to "load bootflash:IMAGE.bin" after changing the password, it successfully decompresses the software image, but brings me to the switch prompt to log in.  Step 11 in these steps say I should be hitting an elevated prompt where I can "copy run start" and the password I changed it to fails. 

"Copy run start" also doesn't work from the "switch(boot)#" or "switch(boot-config)#" prompts, because it can't find the config files in "bootflash:" and the only other drive is called "slot0:" or "slot1:" but it won't let me list files from it.
