When these two applications exist within the enterprise telephony environment are they distinctly seperate or are they integrated womewhat?

Just want to understand if there is integration betweeen the applications or do they stand alone.

Thanks,

Paul.

Hi Paul,

UCCX CAD client is the software used by the Contact Center Agents.

CUPC is the client used with CUPS server.

These two client applications are different from one another.

You can integrate UCCX with CUPS server, for Agents (CAD) and Supervisors (CSD) for contacting the SME (Subject matter Experts) who will be using the CUPC clients.

Please refer the section "Configuring the Cisco Unified Presence Cluster" from page 169 onwards in the below link,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_7_0/user/guide/cda66ug-cm.pdf

Also refer the below UCCX comp matrix for the UCCX and CUPS compatiability,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf

Hope it helps.

Great doc however, not seeing where the menus are located.

I'm running presence ver 8.5.

There is no menu labled "Cisco Unified Presence Settings" as shown in

Figure 81. Cisco Unified Presence Cluster Settings page

Also, configuring contact lists - can't find that either....

Cisco Desktop Presence Administration - no idea where to find this tool / utility.

Don't see where this is;

To create a contact list:

1.Choose Cisco Unified Presence Settings > Contact Lists. The Contact Lists page appears (Figure 82).

Thanks,

Hi Paul,

UCCX 7.x version is compatible only with CUPS version 6.0.1, 7.0.1 and 7.0.5, please refer the below comp matrix.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf

So have the correct versions of CUPS and UCCX for integration.

On your UCCX box, navigate to Start->Programs->Cisco->Desktop->Admin

Desktop Administrator Side A, it will open your WEB CDA.

http://xx.xx.xx.xx:6293/teamadmin/login.cda  (where xx.xx.xx.xx is your UCCX ip address).

Click on login and select the Cisco Unified Presence Settings tab on your left side.

It has your presence settings \ contact list...etc.
