Best practices backup network design

Hi people

I need a paper where a can find the best solution for a network where, in this moment, it sharing data traffic with backp traffic.

If you have recomendations, links, etc, please tell me.

The current equipment are Cisco 4500, 3560 and 2960.

As for your questions, I think If data and network traffic is shared a seperate vlan for backup traffic, QoS configuration for switches, and the choice of the switches for backup network is important. The architecture of the 4500, 3560 and 2960 is done for the Campus distribution and edge requirements, but may be sufficient for your environment. How much data do you plan to backup, and is there backup SLAs planned for the design?
