Hello,
I have a customer has a Cisco gateway connected to ITSP SIP Circuit .He need to add another redundant gateway so that if the primary gateway is down, Call will be handled through the backup gateway. There is only one SIP Circuit on one of the gateways not two circuits with a mask of /30.Can we perform that function using HSRP for instance OR what could be the other options from design and technical prospective?.
Please advise

Hi,
Don't think you can have a redundant gateway when the provider gives you only one SIP circuit.
Cold standby could be a solution.
But maybe there are better solutions for this scenario.

Hello,
Agree with Jan.Guess , you can have cold standby not hot standby if you got only one sip circuit.
thanks
