First time trying to configure these . Trying to get the peer links to work and have them in interfaces E1/1-4 . When i do a show int status it looks like this and says sfp invalid. I see this on both sides . Anyone ever see this ? These same model gbics work fine attached to a FEX on these boxes. Thanks for any help . A firstimer on the Nexus gear.

Hi,
Have you configured the port as switchport mode fex-fabric? The FET-10G only works for this mode.

Do the peer links have special cables ? Is it possible the fex's use this specific gbic and cannot be used as a peerlink connection ?

Yeah it appears these are for fex connections only. Just found out we have special twinax cables coming for the peer link connections. Thanks for the info.

Apart from switchport mode fex-fabric, make sure you enable feature fex.
