George,

Are you running this on VM or an appliance?

Thanks,

George,

Can you please post the output of "show application" along with "show application status acs"?

Since this in on VM what are the specs? Are you setting this up for POC or initial install. Also can you check the iso you downloaded and compare it against the md5sum posted on cco? Also did you run through the initial setup?

I dont mean to ask some basic questions, i just want to get an idea to see whether the setup program launched or not.

Thanks

Tarik,

Thanks for your reply. I will be so gald to get this issue behind me...

I'm not in front of my server at the moment. But when I do show application, there is nothing even with show application status acs. Its like it didnt install, although I went through the setup steps.

VM -- I tried a few different setups. Linux 32/OS. 4 gig ram, 60 gig hd.

I didnt check the MD5, but I will. Where will I find the MD5 in the file, properties? Sorry, never had to check that before.

please ask away!

George,

You can find the md5 sum in the download section when you are ready to download the file.

Also try using rhel 4 32 bit, also what version of esx are you using?

Thanks

I had some issues installing a VM instance of ACS 5.3 demo.

I am currently doing it for lab purposes only and here is my setup and works fine.

I use VMware Player and the OS is:

Other Linux - 32bit

60GB hdd and 4GB RAM - it would not start the application before I did that and oh yeah 2 core cpu don't forget the CPUs, cuz I did and it didn't work

so

60GB HDD

4GB RAM

2  CORE CPU
