Solved: HELP<<<SPA8800+1751V (as SIP Server)>>>

Hello,

I have L2L , SITE A to SITE B (follow attached the topology).

I have to integrate telephony on this two sites , where on SITE A I have SPA8800 with 4 FXS and 4 FXO connected in the PBX (analogical).

On SITE B, i have 10 x PAP2T, to communicate with extensions on the PBX in SITE A.

Questions:

1-) If i understood, with SPA8800 I can integrate with PBX, but SPA 8800 dont work as a SIP SERVER ?

2-) If I am correct about question 1, Can I use the 1751-V on SITE A, to register my PAP2-T on SITE B?

3-) After registering the PAP2-T on the 1751-V, Can I call to extension ( on PBX in SITE A) , from PAP2-T (on SITE B)?

Right. The SPA8800 doesn't work as SIP SERVER and cannot register SIP extensions.

In my opinion there is no way. The 1751 is an old platform. You can do this using Cisco Unified Call Manager Express on the router and using special commands like these:

voice register global

mode cme

source-address 10.1.1.1 port 5060

max-dn 20

max-pool 10

!

voice register dn 1

number 40

allow watch

name CORDLESS 40

no-reg

label CORDLESS 40

!

voice register pool 1

id mac 00xx.xxxx.xxxx

number 1 dn 1

username 40 password 40

codec g711alaw

But these options are introduced only in early release not supported by 1751.

3-) After registering the PAP2-T on the 1751-V, Can I call to extension ( on PBX in SITE A) , from PAP2-T (on SITE B)?

If you don't consider the previously limit, Yes.

You can always configure your PAP to send SIP messages to the 1751 without registration and configure specific dial-peer on the 1751 to forward the call to the SPA8800.

Right. The SPA8800 doesn't work as SIP SERVER and cannot register SIP extensions.
