Setting 7975 to work with Asterisk as a SIP client

Hello experts,

We have an Asterisk server. All 30 phones are Cisco Small business SPA 502 or 504. We have only one Cisco 7975 phone which will be used by the GM.

I have setup a tftp server (using Tftpd32.exe) in the network, and put these files which I have downloaded from Cisco.com in the tftp directory:

cvm75sip.9-2-3TH1-9.sbn

jar75sip.9-2-3TH1-9.sbn

dsp75.9-2-3TH1-9.sbn

apps75.9-2-3TH1-9.sbn

cnu75.9-2-3TH1-9.sbn

term75.default.loads

SIP75.9-2-3S.loads

I have also setup option 69 in DHCP to refer to the tftp server address.

In the Tftpd.exe log, I can see the following:

Rcvd DHCP Rqst Msg for IP 0.0.0.0, Mac D4:D7:48:FE:50:2D [03/05 22:39:25.462]

The address 192.168.1.112 is the phone address.

Would anybody send me the required configuration files which should reside in the tftp server? I need a very basic configuration which will be customized later. The basic config shall contain at least the Asterisk IP ( 192.168.1.99 ) , SIP username ( 535 ) and SIP secret ( Cisco.net )

Haitham,

Looks like your phone still running SCCP so you would need to convert it to SIP first before you can integrate it with Asterisk.

There are few methods but you could try the following.

1. Copy the following lines in a notepad and save it as  SEPD4D748FE502D.cnf.xml

***************

    SIP75.9-2-3S

***************

2. Drop it in the same folder where the phone load is.

3. Restart the phone and make sure that TFTP service is running

4. If the upgrade to SIP doesn't start then tell me what version of SCCP are you running.

Regards,

Luis A.
