I have a Cisco SD208P. Is this a PSE of type A or B (endspan or midspan)? The switch does not seem to power PoE devices via the data pairs only.

Please advise.

Hi Sebasian,

Midspan , from what I gather delivers over spare wires, what exactly is your concern ?

Thanks for your response, David. There is no concern. It just appears to be the wrong switch for my application. Most vendors don't state what type of 802.3af their device supports and midspan is of no interest to me. The standard is very misleading and the term "802.3af compliant" can mean so many different things.
