Does 2801 router support SPA50x phones?

Unanswered Question
May 28th, 2012

Hi All.

We've got a 2801 router CME4.2 and I'm trying to use SPA502G phone with it. Phone shows "Registering" only, and the router shows "

046585: May 28 09:03:16.224: TFTP: Looking for /SPA502G-cfg.xml".

Does this router support SPA50x phones?

If it does what am I missing there? Some files on a flash (I uploaded only .bin file there)?

Where can I get a list of files which should be uploaded to the router's flash?

Thanks.

Regards,

I have this problem too.

Thanks Carlo for your reply.

I can not change the phone from SCSP to SIP mode from its menu.

Can we change between sip and scsp on that phone? Or default it will boot up with sip?

Could you please have a look at the CCME configs. Am i missing any command? Currently the SPA502G can obtain its IP address but it can not register with the CCME.

Hi.

When you add a new register profile, remember to issue create profile under voice register global.

Than.. Have you configured correclty Authentication parameters on SPA Phone?

Please activate a debug voice register error and debug voice register evens and post the output.

Thanks

log into the console port. turn on those two debug commands. Unplug the phones and then plug in. Unfortunately, i got now debug messages.

SHould i copied some firmware files of the 502G into the router flash?
