Hi everybody.
Let say we have a network as shown below:
R1( supplicant)----ethernet--SW( authenticator)-----ethernet-----Radius server
Let say R1 sends EAP message to SW. Does R1 encapsulate the eap message as:
Ethernet->EAPmessage.
Radius server uses udp ports. When Sw( authenticator ) receives a EAP message, it simply relays it to radius server. How does Sw encapsulate the EAP message in radius protocol i.e does it look like this:
Ethernet->IP->udp->Radius->EAP message ?
==============================================================================
802.1x support various EAP methods such as EAP-TLS,EAP-md5. If we want to configure Cisco router say R1 as 802.1x supplicant, what is the default EAP method?
How can we change this default EAP method to EAP-TLS on cisco router configured as 802.1x supplicant?
thanks and have a great weekend.
