Dynamic Configuration Tool

Morning all,

Can anyone tell me if this is still a solution Cisco give? If you browse to

https://apps.cisco.com/qtc/config/html/configureHomeGuest.html you cannot chose routers etc. What i am doing is just trying to see what modules will fit into a certain type of gateway etc. This tool doesnt appear to work with any browser at all..

Any help would be great!

It's working for me, but the newer CCW seems to work better. Check your java...

For CCW, check out cisco.com/go/CCW them click on configuration.

Hello David,

I have tested Java and all appears fine. Are there any settings that need to be changed? I remember years ago having to do something to the browser when downloading some IOS, but I cannot find these settings anywhere...

Thanks again..

Hi,

It does not work to well or me either as GUEST.

However if I drop the search to PRODUCT FAMILY

wait a second or 2 then from the RHS pick say Cisco 3900 it seems to be OK.

Alex.

no joy Alex...! this is painful!

I think this is the info you're looking for as far as browser settings:

http://www.cisco.com/web/Downloads/SDS/Software_Downloads/FAQs.html#faq8

As I stated above, the dynamic config tool is on its way out... Check out the configuration tool in CCW, it seems much more stable, if you have access.

Checked that David, the browser seems to be set. Wonder if this is a policy issue on the laptop...

Have you got the direct url for the config tool in CW, I couldnt find that.

Cheers again!

Hi Carl,

I'm not sure if this direct link will work since you need to be logged in, but give it a try:

https://apps.cisco.com/WOC/WOConfigUI/pages/configset/configset.jsp

Otherwise, you can access CCW at http://www.cisco.com/go/ccw  then click configuration under quickstart  /  create
