What is the timeout for a new call? Is it the T302 timer?
Especially, when already in a call, after pushing Transfer, what timer is responsible for determining when to stop waiting for digits, before any digits are dialed.
T302 Timer: Required Field This parameter specifies an interdigit timer for sending the SETUP ACK message. The timer restarts each time Cisco CallManager receives a digit. When this timer expires, Cisco CallManager routes the dialed digits. For exact timer definitions, refer to the Q.931 specification.
Our situation has nothing to do with ISDN and thus Q.931 however. Everything is SIP.

Hi Tom,
I believe the timer you are looking for would be the
Off-hook to First Digit Timer, default is 15000 ms
Clusterwide parameters (Device-Phone)
Cheers!

Yes, don't worry about the ISDN reference, that's where the T302 name comes from. But it is responsible for all inter-digit timeouts in CUCM.

You are correct Rob (+5) for correct answer.
T302 will only be applicable after at least 1 digit is entered.

Hey Chris,
The reason I'll always remember this timer is that we had a user who
complained he didn't have enough time to dial the first digit of the phone
number after he picked up the handset. When we did some research and
realized that he had 15 seconds, we "RED carded" him
That's my Euro 2012 reference for today.
Cheers!

On the other hand, I can understand when you're trying to do a transfer, you first push the Transfer button to have them hear MoH, and then go searching for the number you actually transfer to, it can take more than 15 seconds before you push a button.
