Just to add.

I'm new to Cisco Video Surveillance.

I am looking forward to carrying out a project for which I have to install Cisco Video Surveillance for multiple branches many of them with less than 32 cameras. This means I have to use the ISR option. The design guide that I have is dated 18 August 2009 and talks about 2800/3800 ISRs. Where do I get information for video surveillance using ISR G2 routers (2900/3900)?

Desperately needs help.

Kelvin,

We have since transitioned the VSM solution for branch architectures from the old VSM-baremetal on the NME module (a.k.a VMSS platform) in ISR G1's, to the UCS-E platform running an optimized version of VMware ESXi 5.0 hypervisor bare-metal on the SRE module in ISR G2's.

For background, I'd encourage you to take a look at the VSM on UCS-E datasheet to review the supported configurations, the SRE install and configuration guide to review device setup considerations and procedures, and finally the vSphere 5 documentation to review the design and implementation of the VMware environment.

Hopelly that'll be helpful to get you started on your solution design. Feel free to ask any specific questions you may have.

We've recently had the opportunity to work with the SRE-910.  Pretty slick units.
