We have a Cisco MDS 9509  5.0.4(d) connected to these are brocade HP C class switches most have been set to Access Gateway mode but we have two that are in interop mode.

When  we attempt to activate any chnages to the active zoneset with get the following error message and the changes are not applied. We know what domain id it refers too and it is one of the brocades in interop mode this is running FOS 5.3.0.

%SYSMGR-3-CFGWRITE_FAILED: Configuration copy failed (error-id 0x401E0000).

%ZONE-2-ZS_CHANGE_SFC_FAILED: %$VSAN 2%$ SFC failed : domain 0x67 returns UNSUPPORTED_COMMAND

Hi Gary,

Could you answer a few questions for me to better understand the issue?

1. What interop mode is the brocade set in

2. Is the Brocade switch using Reliable Commit Services (RCS)

3. Can you give me the outputs of the following commands on the MDS:

# show vsan 2

# show zone internal rcs-info vsan 2

Thanks,

Kris
