CUCM 8.6 name/number recognition

Hello,

Is there a way to enable name/number recognition on the CUCM platform? Quite some other PBX'es have this feature, where you can import a list of contacts, so the calling number will be matched to a contact name.

To clarify: Imagine someone with number +31612345678 calls to one of the phones that are registered to the CUCM. The CUCM first looks up in some database and see this is Ruud van Strijp's phone, and if it is, the called person will see:

'Call from

+31612345678

Ruud van Strijp"

Would there be a way to do this? Perhaps with 3th party products?

Hi

Natively there's no such feature.

There are products out there to do it.. e.g. a gateway-based script (http://www.ciscoxmlservices.com/)... I've also seen cti based apps that push info to the phone but that would no doubt place more load on the cluster (monitoring all devices) so I prefer the idea of a TCL script.
