CSCtg00438 - Need a way to syslog per-class COPP drops based on thresholds

Hi,

I know that the bug is fixed, but when I´m trying to configure the CoPP-Logging stuff under NX-OS 5.2(5) I do not see any kind of logs even if the policy is already dropping the traffic.

Config is:

policy-map type control-plane copp-system-policy

   class copp-system-class-exception
      logging drop threshold 39600000 level 5

regards,

    Dirk

The bug id you mention added the CLI, so if the CLI is accepted you already have the patch.  However, there may be some other issue, whether it is a new bug of a configuration error in logging.  It would be best to ask the question in another forum (or oprn a TAC case), since this is either a configuration issue or a new bug.

Hi,

it seems that since 5.2.x, the default-policies are "read-only" so you have to copy the policy and then add the logging-stuff.

Will try it and provide some feedback.

After copying to policy and modifying it everything works as expected!
