Hi All,

A few moments ago we noticed the following on one of our Nexus 7K devices. Google didn't deliver much as to what might have gone amiss. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Greetings Michael,

The messages indicate that there was an unrecoverable error reading from the hde1 device and the filesystem was remouted read-only, a typical action taken by the Linux kernel to prevent further filesystem damage.

hde1 corresponds to the removable 8GB "Log Flash" on your active supervisor module.

You could try using 'unmount logflash:' and 'mount logflash:' to remount it as read-write, but it is likely that this error indicates a fault with the flash which would reoccur in the future. I'd suggest raising a TAC SR to look at whether this part needs replacing - a spare log flash can be ordered as part N7K-CPF-8GB=.

Hope this helps,

/Phil

Hi Phillip,

Today we've opened a call at TAC and they've said exactly the same just an hour ago. Thanks for your reply :-)
