Black Screen when playing a multicast stream

Hi,

I am running DMS 5.2.2. I have a scientific Atlanta encoder which i use for enterprise tv. I have created a media asset that carries the multicast stream and then put it on a presentation. When i push the presentaion to the dmp, i am able to see the stream but the screen goes black periodically for about 2 to 3 seconds and then resumes. Any ideas.

Hello Martin,

I remember experiencing this in the past.

You should play a bit with the jitter settings under the multicast setting of the dmpd.

Increase the ms setting and this should do your job.

Please confirm the exact multicast URL that you have in the asset.

Is it UDP://: or udp://:

Note the case difference in the URL.
