Hi All,

We have 2 core switches port channeled (pagp) and all servers dual NICs connects to each swutch- everythihng work fine. Our system folks purchased couple of Kemp technology Load balancers and want to use both in HA mode and want to have LACP channel to core switches as well. The scenario is..

3 Ports LB1 --> LACP --> SW1

3 Ports LB2 --> LACP --> SW2

1 port on each LB cross connected for failover communication.

It appears that for LACP to work with these LBs, switch ports needs to be in trunk mode than access mode. With many other vlans (including server vlan) on core switches, if I create LACP in trunk mode between LB <--> SW s, I suspect it will cause loop in the network as there is failover link existing between both LBs directly. Can some one clarify on this?

Thanks in advance.
